Wow.. There’s Krispy Kreme at Berjaya Times Square! Haha.. something interesting for me to bring back to Singapore, instead of the usual packets of soup ingredients that I always buy in bulk from Giant (Yes, I literally buy like tens of packets of curry and soup mixes from Giant everytime I travel to KL =S)

Here in KL for a Nokia product training for Malaysia retailers over the next two days. It’s been a while since I’ve been training in KL.. cant wait to see some familiar faces. Staying at the Parkroyal Bukit Bintang this time round. Pretty good location; plenty of shopping around here. More importantly, it’s a short walk away from the training venue at Pavilion =P
Check out pics of the hotel room. Relatively decent, though the picture quality can be better (I’ll need to get my hands on the latest imaging device from Nokia… )

Interestingly, the sink is outside the toilet.

If you’ve been to hospitals or polyclinics recently, you would have seen many people wearing masks. Apparently, what the medical staff do is to take your temperature before you enter the premise, and if you have a cold or a cough (or anything that may be contagious), they’ll give you a mask to put on.
So the mask is there for obvious reasons. It is to prevent the spread of viruses. What disturbs me is when I walk past Sengkang Polyclinic, I see the masks all over the grass patches just outside the polyclinic. Here is one example of the many masks on the ground:

Food for thought: If the masks are gonna end up on the ground, then why bother issuing it in the first place? Wouldn’t this create a greater danger instead?

Went to the dentist today for my routine checks, which isn’t very routine considering this is the third time I’m visiting a dentist for the past 10 years (yes yes.. I’m one of those who never visit the dentist after leaving secondary school). However, I’ve made it a point to visit the dentist every 6 months since last year =)
My teeth aren’t exactly in terrible shape, though they’re not in tip top condition either. So in a bid to ensure I don’t need unnecessary trips to the dentist and waste more money, I’ve decided to start brushing my teeth properly! *Applause!
Okie anyway, here are some tips on brushing teeth that I found. Figured I’ll share this with everyone in case you guys are facing similar problems.
Step 1: Prepare your toothbrush. Moisten your toothbrush with water and apply a thin strip of toothpaste. Try to choose one that contains fluoride.
Step 2: Start in the back. Start with your upper molars (back teeth) on your left side and work in a clockwise direction. Point the bristles toward the gumline, in a 45 degree angle. Use a short circular motion for approximately 20 seconds.
Step 3: Roll away. After 20 seconds, roll the brush head away from the gumline, so the bristles sweep the surface of the tooth, removing the food and plaque.
Step 4: Work in a clockwise direction. Continue working in a clockwise direction, ending with the lower molars on your left side. Repeat step two and three for the inside surface of the upper and lower molars.
Step 5: Brush the back surface of the upper front teeth. Brush the lingual (back) surface of the upper-front teeth by using the tip of the toothbrush head. Direct the bristles toward the gumline, and use a flicking motion down the surface of the tooth. Do this 2 to 3 times.
Step 6: Brush the back of the lower front teeth. Point the bristles of the tip of the toothbrush toward the gumline. Flick the bristles up, away from the gumline in a sweeping motion. Do this 2 to 3 times.
Step 7: Brush the biting surface. Brush the biting surface of the upper and lower premolars and molars, using a circular motion.
Step 8: Finish with rinse. Finish by rinsing with either water or your choice of mouthwash.

Conducted a product training at Singtel this morning, so that completes this round of product trainings for the three operators. Been a while since I’ve done operator trainings, and I think I’m getting old =P Left the stack of sales sheet in my house today, and I only realised it when I got to the training venue. Thankfully, Jeraldine came to my rescue with another set of notes. Mental note: should buy her coffee next time
Just finished typing the script for my Enneagram videos too. Strangely enough, though I literally speak for a living, I seem to have many stop starts when I do audio recordings. The scripts should come in handy. So stay tuned for my Enneagram videos if you’re interested in personality profiling =)
Food for thought: Which is worse? An outbreak of swine flu, or further rounds of retrenchments?
