Using My Blog To Sell Phones

Posted by Joelseah on May 26, 2009

I made an amazing discovery a few days back (okie well, maybe not THAT amazing =p).. my blog is actually a pretty decent tool to help promoters sell phones!

There i was, lying on bed and using my N97 test set (The internet is filled with news about it so i take it as a sign that i can name the model too). I was checking out Formula 1 and soccer sites, when i suddenly wondered how my blog would look on the phone screen.

To my pleasant surprise, it looked perfectly good =) And the best part is, i’m able to view the youtube videos that i posted without any lag or problems. The pictures i posted looked good too. In addition, subscribing for my RSS feed was a breeze.. just click on the RSS icon somewhere near the top and you’re subscribed!

Imagine showing customers this blog (or their own for that matter), then showing them how the videos and pictures look, and how easy it is to subscribe to RSS. That is natural story telling at its best!

So there, this will now become my “Demo Post”. I’m gonna show this post everytime i do a demonstration in training =p

Krispy Kreme At KL Berjaya Times Square

Posted by Joelseah on May 20, 2009

Wow.. There’s Krispy Kreme at Berjaya Times Square! Haha.. something interesting for me to bring back to Singapore, instead of the usual packets of soup ingredients that I always buy in bulk from Giant (Yes, I literally buy like tens of packets of curry and soup mixes from Giant everytime I travel to KL =S)

Sue Son – Divided Opinions

Posted by Joelseah on May 12, 2009

Last week’s episode of Britain’s Got Talent served up some interesting talking point among netizens and people in the UK. The person in the middle of all these is Sue Son, a violinist.

Sue first entered the auditions with her best friend Janine, performing a semi classical act with Sue on violin and Janine on keyboard. Both of them are pretty talented individuals. However, the judges felt that the two of them don’t have the wow factor as a team, and offered Sue the opportunitity to re-audition as an individual (Apparently they preferred Sue over Janine).

After some initial hesitation, Sue decided to take up the offer (Simon Cowell didn’t help by insisting an answer from her on the spot). The moment Sue took up the offer, the camera went right to Janine, who looked visibly disappointed.

So that started the whole debate:

The anti Sue group feels that she should have stayed loyal to her friend and declined the offer. The pro Sue group feels that she was right to pursue her dream since the judges already ruled out her friend. Besides, if Janine is really Sue’s best friend, she should be wholeheartedly supporting Sue.

Anyway, if you’re wondering how good is Sue exactly, here’s the clip of her individual audition:

Another Diversity Dance Video

Here’s another dance video featuring Diversity. This is a performance in the Streetdance UK Championships.  In case you have not watched the first video I posted, I suggest you check out the post on Britain’s Got Talent 2009 – Diversity first.

Britain’s Got Talent 2009 – Diversity

Posted by Joelseah on

If you’ve been paying attention to what people are talking about recently, you might have heard a lot about Susan Boyle. Yup, she’s the auntie looking woman who shocked the whole of Britain with her singing abilities.  The competition she was taking part in is one of my favourite shows – Britain’s Got Talent.

Those of you who attended my trainings (especially Singapore and Malaysia Nokia guys) will know I love to show videos from the competition in my trainings. Partly because of the entertainment value, and partly because of the inspirational value it can give – Normal everyday person who has a talent, puts in the hard work, and gets rewarded. (Think Paul Potts and George Sampson from seasons 1 and 2, as well as many others who got spotted)

Anyway, for this season’s audition, there are some other performers who have caught the eye besides Susan Boyle, I’ll be posting some of them in due time (yeah yeah.. still can’t kick the habit of showing people videos =p)

Here’s a dance act called Diversity. Excellent entertainment value, lotsa unexpected creative stuff.
